Palestinian prisoner Maher Sa’sa, a 45-year-old from Qalqilya, died on Wednesday in an Israeli jail, with no known reason so far.
There are no clear details yet about the reason for his death, but the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said they would seek information to know the cause of death.
Prisoner Sa’sa had been vaccinated against coronavirus on Tuesday and he had several health problems, according to the Commission and PPS.
They held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for the death of prisoner Sa’sa and the lives of other prisoners in its jails.
Sa’sa, a father of six children, had been in jail since 2006, serving a 25-year prison term.
