Hordes of Jewish settlers on Sunday morning broke into al-Aqsa Mosque under police escort.
Local sources said that about 60 Israeli settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in the early morning hours, including extremist rabbis and intelligence officers.
The settlers roamed al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals near Bab al-Rahma prayer area in the eastern side of the Mosque.
The Israeli police forces accompanying the settlers announced the eastern area of the Mosque a “closed military zone” during the settler break-in and forced Palestinian worshipers out.
Israeli settlers break into al-Aqsa Mosque in several groups on a daily basis, except on Fridays and Saturdays, and these incursions are usually intensified during Jewish holidays.
