Dozens of Palestinian citizens were injured on Friday afternoon when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) brutally dispersed several anti-settlement demonstrations in the West Bank.
Activist Murad Shtewi said that a number of Palestinian citizens were wounded after the IOF quelled the weekly demonstration of Kafr Qaddum village near Qalqilya with rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters.
Other clashes broke out at the northern entrance to Qalqilya City where several suffocation cases were reported.
Local sources said that groups of Palestinian youths set fire to car tires and used them to block the main street near the northern entrance. The IOF showered the protesters with rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters, and chased youths in the adjacent neighborhoods.
In Ramallah district, confrontations flared up at the entrance of al-Bireh between Palestinians taking part in a demonstration against the settlement construction and land seizure, with no injuries reported.
Meanwhile in Salfit, the IOF violently quelled the anti-settlement weekly march in Kifl Hares village and prevented the demonstrators from performing the Friday prayers on Palestinian lands threatened with confiscation.
A number of Palestinian citizens suffered minor injuries in the attack.
