Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, sends a message to leaders of more than (40) countries in which he warns of the danger of the “Israeli” annexation plan and calls for urgent action to confront it
Haniyeh called on the leaders to hold an Arab and Islamic summit in order to support the Palestinian position of rejecting all settlement projects in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
He stressed that the Palestinian people will not remain silent in the face of this aggression and escalation and will face this Israeli terrorism with comprehensive resistance.
Netanyahu promised annexation in three successive election campaigns over the past year. In January, his promise won the backing of the Trump administration, whose peace plan allows Israel to keep up to 30 percent of the West Bank, including the Jordan Valley as well as all existing Israeli settlements, which most of the world considers illegal.
