Scores of Jewish settlers defiled the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday morning under heavy protection of Israeli special police forces.
The Islamic Waqf department in the holy city said that 79 settlers, including 30 students, provocatively toured the holy Islamic site.
The Israeli police, meanwhile, imposed strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinian Muslims into the site.
A Jewish organization had called for mass entry into the Aqsa Mosque on Monday to commemorate their so-called “Tu Bishvat” feast.
Jewish settlers break into the holy site on daily basis except on Fridays and Saturdays.
