The Jordanian ministry of foreign affairs has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation police for assaulting Muslim worshipers following the dawn prayers at the Aqsa Mosque on Friday.
Spokesman for the ministry Dhaifallah al-Fayez described the Israeli police’s violent raids and aggressive practices at the Aqsa Mosque as “reprehensible acts,” and “a violation of Israel’s obligations as an occupying power under international law,” according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).

The spokesman calls on Israel to necessarily respect the Islamic sanctity of the Aqsa Mosque and its legal and historical status and put an end to all violations against the Islamic and Christian holy sites.
He also called on Israel to avoid all acts of provocation and escalation in the holy city of Jerusalem.
