A Palestinian ambulance paramedic was proclaimed dead on Monday after he succumbed to a serious head injury he sustained in early May as he was providing medical help for participants in a March of Return rally in Gaza.
The Red Crescent announced the death of 36-year-old Mohamed al-Jadili in the evening in a hospital in al-Khalil.
It said he suffered serious fractures in his head from an Israeli rubber bullet during his work on May 3, 2019 in a border area to the east of Gaza.
His body was transferred from al-Khalil to Gaza through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing.
Jadili was the fourth paramedic who was killed by Israeli gunfire in the March of Return rallies, which started on March 30, 2018.
