Two Palestinians were injured by gunfire and dozens others choked on tear gas fired by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) who stormed Jenin refugee camp on Monday morning.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF in the early morning hours deployed on Jenin streets and searched a number of Palestinian homes.
The IOF arrested three Palestinian citizens from their homes, including the Islamic Jihad leader Khaled Abu Zeina who was released from Israeli jails only a few months ago after serving a 15-year sentence.
The IOF clashed with Jenin camp’s residents during the raid. Dozens of youths took to the streets to confront the attack, forcing the IOF soldiers to withdraw.
