Palestinian Prisoners on 37th day of hunger strike in Israeli jails

The Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails Ouda al-Horoub and Hasan al-Awiwi have been on hunger strike for 37 consecutive days in protest at their detention without charge or trial.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society said that the Israeli Prison Service has transferred the detainees to several prisons in the past days despite their worsening health condition in an attempt to pressure them to break their hunger strike.

Ouda al-Horoub, 32, a father of ten, has been detained since December 2018, while Hasan al-Awiwi, 35, a father of three, was arrested in January 2019. Both of them are being held administratively without trial or indictment.
